Alumni
The Sainsbury's School Games has seen many of its athletes go on to achieve the highest sporting accolades and success on national and international stages. Inspirational athletes including Ellie Simmonds, Jonnie Peacock and Hannah Cockroft represented Paralympics GB at the London 2012 Paralympic Games while many more have competed at World Championships, European Championships and National Finals.

Profiles of our past alumni are listed below but many more are still involved in sport and continue to develop and inspire young athletes across the UK.

Sophie Lee (ENG) and Siobhan Longdon (ENG)

Rugby 7s

Both selected into the full England Rugby Team Elite Player Squad (EPS)

Harry Brown (ENG)

Wheelchair Basketball

Two European Championship Caps

Gold Medal won at both European Championships in 2011 and 2013.

Charlotte Moore (ENG)

Wheelchair Basketball

Bronze Medal at the European Championships in 2013.

James Davis (ENG)

Fencing

Men's Foil UK School Games champion in 2008 & 2009

Competed at London 2012 and then became a double bronze medal winner (individual and team) at the 2013 Senior European Championships

Philip Marsh (ENG)

Fencing

Men's Epee UK School Games champion in 2010 and went on to win the Junior World Championships in 2011.

Corinna Lawrence (ENG)

Fencing

Women's Epee UK School Games champion in 2007 and went to the represent Team GB at the London Olympics 2012.

Gabi Down (ENG)

Fencing

Wheelchair fencing champion at the Sainsbury's 2011 School Games and competed at the London 2012 Paralympics aged just 14.

Georgie Twigg (ENG)

Hockey

Georgie won a Bronze medal with England at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi (where she scored the winning goal in the Bronze medal match), and also won a bronze medal with Team GB at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Dan Hunter (ENG)

Volleyball

Represented team GB at the London 2012 Olympic Games following his appearance at the 2007 UK School Games in Coventry.

Nathan French (ENG)

Volleyball

Represented Team GB at the London 2012 Olympic Games following his appearance at the 2007 UK School Games in Coventry.

Marc Richardson (ENG)

Volleyball

Represented Team GB following his performances at 2007 UK School Games in Coventry.

Jim Miller (ENG)

Volleyball

Represented Team GB following his performances at 2007 UK School Games in Coventry.

Megan Viggars (ENG)

Volleyball

Represented Team GB following performances at the UK School Games in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010

Elinor Barker (WAL)

Cycling

Junior World Champion and also a Senior World Champion and world record holder with British Cycling. She competed at the Track Cycling Senior World Championships in 2014.

Sam Harrison (WAL)

Cycling

European Champion and competed at the Track Cycling Senior World Championships in 2014 for British Cycling.

Matt Rotherham (ENG)

Cycling

Competed as part of the British Cycling Senior National Squad and is also a European Champion.

Dina Asher-Smith (ENG)

Athletics

Competed at the Sainsbury's 2012 School Games winning 200m Gold. Represented Team GB at the 2013 IAAF World Championships 4x100m relay winning Bronze.

Katarina Johnson-Thompson (ENG)

Athletics

Competed at the UK School Games in 2009 winning High Jump Silver. Represented Team GB at the 2012 Olympic Games in Heptathlon placing 15th.

Jessica Judd (ENG)

Athletics

Competed at Sainsbury's 2011 School Games winning 1500m Gold. Continued to 2013 IAAF World Championships, 800m 5th and 2013 European Athletics Team Championships, 800m Gold.

Hannah Cockroft (ENG)

Athletics

Competed at teh Sainsbury's 2011 School Games winning 100m Gold. 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships, 100m and 200m Gold. Won 2012 Paralympic Games, 100m Gold and 200m Gold.

Jonnie Peacock (ENG)

Athletics

Competed at UK School Games in 2009 winning 100m Gold. 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships, 100m Gold followed by London 2012 Paralympic Games, 100m Gold.

Ellie Simmonds (ENG)

Swimming

Four-time Paralympic Champion from Beijing and London. Ellie has continued to dominate the S6 category since then with gold medals at every level.Youngest person to receive and MBE in 2008.

Amy Marren (ENG)

Swimming

World champion and-British record holder.

Josef Craig (ENG)

Swimming

GB representative and World Record Holder (S7 400m Freestyle). BBC Young Sports Personality of the year 2012. Won gold at Paralympic Games in 400m Freestyle (S7).

Sam Oldham (ENG)

Gymnastics

2012 Olympic Games team bronze medallist and 2013 European high bar silver medallist.

Frank Baines (ENG)

Gymnastics

2012 European junior all-around champion.

Rebecca Tunney (ENG)

Gymnastics

Team GB's youngest Olympian at London 2012 and 2012 British all-around champion.

Jennifer Pinches (ENG)

Gymnastics

London 2012 Olympian and 2012 British beam champion.

Tom Jarvis (ENG)

Table Tennis

Won two gold medals at the Sainsbury's 2014 School Games and has since enjoyed success on the international stage, winning the 2014 Spanish Youth Open.

Tin-Tin Ho (ENG)

Table Tennis

She already has a Commonwealth Games silver medal in the mixed doubles at Glasgow 2014. She has also competed at the World and European Championships at senior level.

Nicko Anderson (ENG)

Table Tennis

Ended his School Games career in 2014 by successfully defending his wheelchair title. He was also part of the South East team which won the overall gold.
