The Sainsbury's 2015 School Games officially drew to a close on Sunday as achievements and performances were celebrated at the closing ceremony in Manchester.

The Sainsbury's 2015 School Games continued to excite and entertain as no fewer than 11 sports were contested on day three in Manchester.

Scotland sprinter and European double gold medallist Maria Lyle marked her Sainsbury's 2015 School Games debut in style, while double Paralympic champion Hannah Cockcroft also took to the track in an action-packed day two in Manchester.

The Sainsbury's 2015 School Games kicked off in style last night with a spectacular Opening Ceremony at the Manchester Arena.

An opening ceremony featuring world champions and Olympic and Paralympic heroes will welcome the 1,600 athletes, 500 volunteers and young coaches to the Sainsbury's 2015 School Games in Manchester on Thursday night.

The 19-year-old has taken the athletics world by storm, claiming titles and breaking records during a success-laden eight months. Last month Dina made history by becoming the first British woman ever to break 11 seconds over 100m, clocking 10.99 at the Sainsbury's Anniversary Games held in the Olympic Stadium.

World, European and Paralympic champion Hannah Cockroft MBE returns to the Sainsbury's School Games in Manchester on Friday 4 September to compete as a guest, four years after striking gold at the event in 2011.

Nine years on from his School Games debut and Paul Drinkhall continues to impress on the international table tennis circuit.

Harry will swim for England North at the Sainsbury's 2015 School Games. He is from Woodkirk Academy in Wakefield, and is a member of the City of Leeds Fencing Club.
