Safeguarding at the Sainsbury's 2015 School Games is in place to ensure that all participating athletes enjoy their experiences and perform well within a safe environment.

Working with the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU), the Sainsbury's 2015 School Games has a Safeguarding Plan that is annually developed in order to reflect the needs and support given by the host city but that also;

• Supports the sharing of best practice and education in safeguarding practice, and

• Raises the standards in safeguarding practice and welfare planning for events across the sports sector.

The Safeguarding Plan has been developed by working with each of the sporting governing bodies.
